WHAT IS IT?

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure performed to help achieve a whiter shade. This process helps to reduce or eliminate stains, yellowing or discoloration on teeth, resulting in a whiter appearance. Please note, the result is not permanent, and would require top-up sessions, as and when required, and spaced out appropriately, depending on each client's needs. A high intensity cold light tooth whitening machine rapidly speeds up the whitening process to give you a degree of whitening result. The light filtered out all harmful UV and infrared radiation providing a safe treatment without any irritation to the nerve of your teeth. The 1-hour treatment consists of 3 applications of Hollywood Whitening™ gels to your teeth at every 15–20 min intervals.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT

After the whitening procedure, it is advisable not to consume non-coloured food or drinks such as red wine, cola, coffee, tea, soy sauce, dark sauce, and food that is too hot or cold within 24 hours. Also, patient should avoid coloured toothpaste, mouthwash as well as tobacco products.

EXPECTATIONS (Being Realistic)

This treatment is ideal for a special occasion, to help achieve minimum 1 shade brighter / whiter teeth. Please note, this is not permanent. The result will not last long, so please bear this in mind, and note that the outcome per treatment can vary per client, depending on the severity of teeth staining, and condition of the teeth, and depending on your lifestyle and your diet, this will affect how quickly your teeth will stain again. It can be used to try and boost the appearance of your teeth for a short period only. The area of teeth treated may not be equal and may vary, so you have to consider this. Expectations need to be realistic.

FAQs

HOW LONG WILL RESULTS LAST?

This depends entirely on each individual, and depend on whether you smoke and consume staining agents. Periodic touch-up treatments can be taken from time to time for clients who frequently have staining foods or drinks. Think of it like a white coat, it can stay forever white if you want it to, so please bear this in mind.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Some people may experience a slight sensitivity for a couple of hours after the treatment.

IS IT SUITABLE IF I HAVE CROWNS OR VENEERS?

Cosmetic teeth whitening treatment cannot change the colour of new crowns, veneers or fillings. If it’s an old crown or veneer, the treatment may take them back to their original colour.

WILL IT HURT?

No pain at all, very few may experience minor sensitivity for a few hours after the treatment. The chance of high sensitivity is very slim and will subside after a few hours.

IS IT SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?

Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
