HOW DOES ELECTROPORATION WORK?

This treatment involves exposing skin to a light electrical field, which then reduces the cell wall's resistance, rendering it more permeable. This then allows us to transfer a wide range of naturally nurturing solutions or oils into the skin cells; a treatment that is painless with no side effects. When carrying out electroporation, we will use customised serums to treat a variety of problems, from hydrating very dry skin to reducing the redness associated with acne or rosacea, depending on the individual skin condition and needs.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING TREATMENT?

Please note, we ask clients not to wear any make-up prior to treatment, to allow the Aesthetician to work directly with your skin, ensuring maximum absorption of the beneficial ingredients and treatments.

The session begins with cleansing of the skin to remove impurities, to help obtain better penetration during treatment.

Once the skin is ready, a suitable cocktail is used in conjunction with the device, to help deliver the treatment agreed during consultation. 

The needleless mesotherapy machine will produce gentle electrical impulses that each client will feel lightly and which are often associated with a pleasant tingling sensation. Most clients will be very relaxed during the procedure, which usually lasts 15 to 30 minutes. 

Clients will quickly feel the benefits and notice that their skin looks luminous and moisturised.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?

Generally, there is no down time with needle-free mesotherapy. Because the treatment is non-invasive and does not involve needles, there is no risk of bleeding or bruising, and most people can resume their regular activities immediately after treatment.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal results, and the effects of the treatment may vary depending on the individual's skin type and condition.

It is recommended to have a course of 4-8 treatments, 1 week apart, as results tend to improve with the number of sessions as the benefits of the skin infusion are cumulative.

For those with higher quality skin, weekly treatment for 4 weeks, with maintenance every 5-8 weeks, is recommended. 

For those with moderately poor skin, weekly sessions for 6 weeks are required, with maintenance every 4-6 weeks. 

For those with severe skin issues, weekly sessions for 8 weeks are required, with maintenance every 3-4 weeks.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

There may be certain situations or conditions that make an individual unsuitable for the treatment. Some factors include (but not limited to):

* Pregnancy or breastfeeding.

* Open wounds, cuts or infections in the area.

* Individuals with pacemakers or other electronic medical devices.

* History of bleeding disorders or blood thinning medication.

* Individuals with metal implants in the area.

* Individuals who have recently undergone surgery or other cosmetic procedures in the area.

* History of keloid scarring.

* Allergies or sensitivities to the ingredients used in the treatment.
