What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy using the Ultim Mesogun involves injecting specialised cocktails of pharmaceutical grade vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants into the skin's surface to rejuvenate and stimulate collagen production. The Ultim Mesogun uses a pneumatic action to rapidly inject these ingredients with minimal pain and bruising. The device also stimulates fibroblasts, 

further aiding collagen synthesis. These cocktails can be tailored to address a wide range of issues, including ageing signs, 

enhancing skin firmness, uneven skin tone, acne, and improving overall radiance. Suitable for all skin types, Mesotherapy 

provides visible results without discomfort or downtime, and achieve smoother, healthier, and more youthful-looking skin.

HAIR LOSS

Mesotherapy with the Ultim Mesogun can also help deliver promising results in anti-hair loss treatments, by injecting active ingredients into the scalp to stimulate hair growth. It's used to treat hair loss, improve hair quality, and enhance scalp health. The treatment can involve a course of treatments, typically spaced about a month apart.

BEFORE MESOTHERAPY

In order for mesotherapy to be successful, a number of rules should be observed:

For three days of the procedure, you need to stop taking Aspirin and non-steroidal anti--inflammatory painkillers.

Makeup should be avoided the day before the procedure.

If you ever had herpes aggravated, then be sure to warn the practitioner about this as – mesotherapy sometimes provokes its exacerbation, and we would therefore not be able to treat you.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING TREATMENT

Please note, we ask clients not to wear any make-up prior to treatment, to allow the Aesthetician to work directly with your skin, ensuring maximum absorption of the beneficial ingredients and treatments.

The session begins with cleansing of the skin to remove impurities, to help obtain better penetration during treatment.

A numbing cream may be applied to reduce discomfort, however it should not be necessary as the treatment uses the Ultim Mesogun, making the treatment more tolerable compared to traditional mesotherapy.

Once the skin is ready, a suitable cocktail is used in conjunction with the device, to help deliver the treatment agreed during consultation. 

THE PROCEDURE

A fine needle is used to inject small amounts of a nutrient-rich solution into the mesoderm (middle layer of skin). 

The Ultim Mesogun delivers these injections rapidly and precisely. 

The injections are typically spaced approximately one inch apart. 

The depth of the injections can vary from 1 to 4 mm, depending on the treatment area. 

You may feel a slight "pinching" or "pricking" sensation, but it's generally well-tolerated. 

The treatment generally lasts about 30 to 45 minutes. 

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT

You may experience some redness, swelling, or slight bruising, but these are usually temporary. Most people can resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment. 

Some may prefer a day of rest to allow any discomfort or redness to subside. 

AFTERCARE

After a mesotherapy treatment, follow these aftercare guidelines to minimize side effects and maximize results: 

Immediately after treatment, for 10-12 hours, avoid washing your face, avoid drinking alcohol. 

For at least 24-48 hours, avoid makeup, heat treatments, and abrasive products. Hydrate well and wear sunscreen with SPF50+ daily. Use recommended moisturizers and serums, and consider a hydrating mask. 

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Redness and Swelling: Mild redness and swelling are common after mesotherapy and should subside within 1-2 days.

Pinpoint Bruising: You may experience some pinpoint bruises or small papules at the injection sites, which are usually normal and resolve quickly.

Sensitivity: Your skin may be more sensitive to touch and sunlight.

RESULTS

The injected nutrients stimulate the skin's natural healing mechanisms, boosting collagen and elastin production. 

You may notice improved skin hydration, elasticity, and a more radiant complexion over time. 

The results can be long-lasting with regular maintenance treatments.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal results, and the effects of the treatment may vary depending on the individual's skin type and condition.

It is recommended to have a course of 4-6 treatments, 2-3 week apart, as results tend to improve with the number of sessions as the benefits of the skin infusion are cumulative. Please note, each patient is different therefore results can vary depending on the patients skin/hair loss concerns and the severity of condition.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

There may be certain situations or conditions that make an individual unsuitable for the treatment. Some factors include (but not limited to):

* Pregnancy or breastfeeding

* Diabetes

* Kidney disease.

* Open wounds, cuts or infections in the area.

* Skin diseases.

* History of bleeding disorders or blood thinning medication.

* Individuals with metal implants in the area.

* Individuals who have recently undergone surgery or other cosmetic procedures in the area.

* History of keloid scarring.

* Allergies or sensitivities to the ingredients used in the treatment.

* Acute fever.
